Making a Cake

I decided that I wanted to try to make a cake with fondant frosting. It was time consuming, but fun. I guess for my first cake, it wasn't bad. My family ended up eating it for my niece Abby's birthday. Ryan and Revyn helped my put the polka dots on it. I think I might start a tradition and do 1 for my kids birthdays every year. I don't dare make them for anyone else, because it definitely looked better in the picture than in real life!

Back to School

Ryan headed back to school last month. He is in 1st grade now and he is doing great. His last progress report said he had a 98% and even his handwriting is improving (Yea!). He goes to Journey Education, a small private school, and he loves it. The students get the individual attention they need and the curriculum is amazing! I have also been helping out at the school and am on the parent board. It keeps me busy, but is very worth it.

Raigan Swimmin

Raigan has become quite the swimmer this summer. She swims back and forth and has been practicing climbing out of the pool and jumping in. She doesn't even care if anyone is watching! We definitely have to keep our eyes on her, but we love to watch how fast she is growing up and how her personality is developing. I think she is a 5 year old stuck in a 2 year old body!

Visit to Grandma Myrna's

Brandon took Ryan and Revyn up to see Grandma Myrna a couple of weekends ago. The boys went golfing with Grandpa Paul and Revyn got to hang back at the house with Grandma. They had "girl time" and painted nails and grandma even did Revyn's hair. Revyn enjoyed every minute of it.

Ryan's Hospital Stay

During the week of the move, Ryan got a stomach virus that randomly decided to wipe away the protective lining of his stomach. He was in a lot of pain and was admitted in the hospital for 3 days while they figured out what was wrong with him. Definately something I don't want to go through again, although I guess it was nice to get out of part of the move!

Moving!

We had a couple of changes and decided it was a good time to cut back on some expenses and move in with Grandma and Grandpa Hoogland! The kids are loving it. They get to go swimming almost everyday have lots of room to play. Thanks mom and dad for all of your help!

doTerra Convention

One of the fun things I did this summer was work a convention at Mandalay Bay introducing doTerra Essential Oils to the salons and spas. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. I don't know that I would do it every year, but I loved the experience and the friends I made doing it. These oils are a huge part of my life and I love all the ways they have blessed me and my family!
